CalBIT.com, is the first comprehensive online California Basic Inspection of Terminals (BIT) resource serving California truck and trailer fleet operations, as well as, a Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) resourse.
Our mission is to help businesses maintain BIT and FMCSA compliance by bringing various aspects of these program online all the while keeping it as hassle free as possible for any size fleet operation to mantain compliance.
Our team is focused on understanding the overall fleet mantainance compliance issues and working to ensure our users have the tools they need to maintain compliance as required by BIT and FMCSA. We aspire to be well-known for our capacity to assist businesses in becoming more efficient and knowledgeable in these requirements.

Rudy J. Salazar is the founder and chief executive officer of CalBIT.com.
Rudy has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry, as a refrigeration and truck and trailer mechanic.
Prior to CalBIT.com, Rudy held shop management positions such as service manager at major truck dealers,
truck rental and leasing operations in the southwest, at times managing multiple service shops in different regions
with over 20 mechanics and 30 service bays. Rudy’s years of experience gives him the day-to-day knowledge of the California BIT Inspection management process.
He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from California State University Fullerton.
